Wunheng Dian of Madou is also known as Guandi Miao (Temple to Emperor Guan) and was first constructed in the 12th Year of Emperor Yongjheng (1710). The Temple's construction was an event associated with the region's economic prosperity, urbanisation, and cultural traditions. During the early 18th century, the Madou region had transformed from a community of settler farmers to a society with a certain degree of cultural sophistication.
Precious artifacts in the Temple include ancient steles, an ancient censer, and divine images. Steles - 1. Tiena Wu Miao Siangdeng Shihjin Bei (A stele commemorating the payment of Martial Temple expenses and prohibition against unlawful activities): This granite stele measures 233 cm tall and 86 cm wide, and depicts two dragons holding a pearl. It is now embedded in the southern wall of the temple, and was commissioned in the 6th month in the 42nd year of Emperor Cianlong (1777). The con-tents of the stele describe the official resolution to mediate a land conflict between the Pingpu people and the Han settlers at Madou She. 2. Another stele would be the Yumiaojhuang Guandi Miao Miaojyuan Ti Bei (a stele commemorating the donations made by Yumiaojhuang to the Temple of Emperor Guan): This granite stele measures 233 cm tall and 86 cm wide and depicts 2 dragons holding a pearl. The stele and is now embedded in the northern wall of the Temple and was first erected during the 43rd year of Emperor Cianlong. The contents recorded how the Temple was first constructed during the 12th year of Emperor Yongjheng, the reconstruction during the 39th year of Emperor Cianlong, and the name of the donors who paid for the reconstruction. One thing to note is that the Pingpu People of Madou She also gave donations as well. Ancient censer: This censer was dedicated to Neza and was made during the reign of Emperor Sianfong. The original Temple of Neza was already destroyed, leaving the censer that serves as a symbol of the rise and fall of old Madou Boulevard. Ancient figurine: This ancient figurine may be small, but wears an extremely lifelike expression.
